MAC Cosmetics will be making a double donation to its MAC AIDS Fund on December 1st, while also organizing volunteer efforts.

Viva Glam by MAC Cosmetics is a product line that was created to support the MAC AIDS Fund, all year long — but on World AIDS Day, the beauty company is donating even more. On December 1st, MAC Cosmetics will double its donation to the fund by matching the sales of Viva Glam products, made through all its ecommerce sites that day. The collection includes new lip products inspired by pop stars Ricky Martin and Nicki Minaj, who have signed its packaging. To date the M·A·C AIDS Fund has raised more than $270 million dollars which have helped men, women and children globally living with HIV/AIDS. “Our employees take great pride in the fact that every single penny from the RRP of the MAC Viva Glam products, less VAT, goes directly towards improving the lives of those affected by HIV/AIDS,” said Nancy Mahon, global executive director, MAC AIDS Fund, and senior vice president, MAC Cosmetics. “The company is bonded by our commitment to the fund, the heart and soul of our brand.” Additionally in the week leading up to World AIDS Day, MAC Cosmetics employees around the world will participate in an annual company-wide volunteer effort. Organized by the MAC AIDS Fund, this volunteer initiative involves more than 2,000 MAC employees in 36 countries worldwide, who will be donating their time, energy and skills to local organizations dedicated to improving the well being of individuals living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. On Friday, November 30th through December 1st, check MAC’s Twitter handle @MACcosmetics to join the conversation and help raise awareness of HIV/AIDS, using hashtags #WAD2012 and #VIVAGLAM2x.
